چکیده

The impact of lubricating oil degradation, which can happen during both storage and use, on spur gear wear is thoroughly examined in this paper at all scales, from macro to nano. A thorough structure was created by combining the results testing performed macroscale a test rig nanoscale using tools such as FESEM analysis. Using single-stage transmission under two different working conditions (‘40 Nm, 1200 rpm, 198 h’ ‘50 500 90 min’), experiments were carried out conventional artificially degraded lubricant oils. Aqueous hydrochloric acid (36.46% v/v concentration) added induce artificial degradation. Wear development degradation monitored real time metallic detritus sensors sensor suites. Offline methods, total number (TAN) pH value readings, used with periodic samples. It discovered through online offline monitoring methods that experienced substantial lubricant-degraded conditions. By demonstrating elevated levels oxidative products formation new compounds, sulphates aromatic groups, attenuated reflection-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) analysis verified this. In addition, water creation noted. interesting note meter has become viable option for detecting offers useful way keep track quality. Overall, study shows there strong connection between phenomena complete method assessing tribological performance lubricants.

Prediction of Theoretical Wear in High Contact Ratio Spur Gear Drive

Gear contact surface wear is one of the important failure modes in gear systems. The procedure implemented in this work includes finite element multi pair contact modeling to predict the load sharing between the simultaneously contacting pairs and mathematical programming method to estimate the gear surface wear in high contact ratio gear drives for particular number of cycles. A method to find...

Spur Gear Tooth Stress Analysis And Stress Reduction

Gears are commonly used for transmitting power. They develop high stress concentration at the root and the point of contact. The repeated stressing on the fillets causes the fatigue failure of gear tooth. The main objective of this study is to add different shaped holes to reduce stress concentration. A finite element model of Spur gear with a segment of three teeth is considered for analysis a...

Implementation of the Spur Involute Gear Model on Modelica

A procedure to build up a dynamical model of the gearbox with spur involute mesh is being described. The main attention is paid to the design technology of the cylindrical bodies elastic contact models. To track geometry of contact implicit equations of algebraic/transcendental or differential-algebraic type are being used. At the same time dynamical models of the bodies involved, gearwheels an...
